Pagosa Springs, CO

Oh, how refreshing….the time with old friends, blowing my nose, enjoying their beautiful weather, blowing my nose, sitting on their front porch & back porch in the woods, blowing my nose….

I somehow got a cold and Jerri & Ron have nursemaided me – what a waste of time, but what a blessing to be so comfortable with old friends that they don’t care that I’ve used up their entire back stock of tissues! I’m not quite as funny with my brain fuzzy!

We took a leisurely drive around the Pagosa valley today – oh it is gorgeous! The snow capped mountains, the lakes, the trees & meadows; people were rafting in the river and the hot springs were beckoning! Really a wonderful place to live, to visit & enjoy! If I had felt better I would have shopped! HOWEVER, look at that other pic of the flags; they are at a cross walk with a similar flag holder on the other side of the street. The idea is that people could take a flag across the street with them as they are in the crosswalk so cars would see and stop! I was thinking there could be a few places in Verrado that could use that!!!

On the road toward Kansas tomorrow….xok

The Royal Karavan

As a full-time, experienced Realtor in sunny Arizona ... sometimes a gal's just got to take a break! My core value and values come from being a CHRIST-follower; that means He's on the move and so am I. It's a blessing to enjoy the beauty of our world, learn about & invest in lives of people along the way, maybe doing a little creative fabric-ating and/or painting while enjoying the abundant life. HilltopShine comes from when I read Matthew 5:14 in the Message version many years ago. JESUS said, 'Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.' It didn't sound simply like a suggestion to me - but pretty much just do this: SHINE!

  1. So sorry to hear “we” have a cold! Hope HRH escapes it…could be fatal at her age, though she’s looking very healthy. Jerri looks terrific! Tell her I said so! Drive safely…looking forward to the next installment!

  2. Note: To conserve tissues- Step 1. Roll up tissue to form narrow cylindrical shape. Step 2. Insert, with moderate force, into nostril. Step 3. Trim excess tissue hanging out of nostril, leaving 1 inch visible. Step 4. Repeat on other side. Step 5. Take photos of visible reactions of passersby and post said photos for us to laugh at in next Royal Karenvan post!
