Stunning scenic…..& sketchy reception…

Oh, HRH and I loved our drive yesterday after a sweet goodbye to Jerri & Ron. We saw deer cross the road right in Pagosa which reminded me to be on the lookout! (The morning before I saw a fluffy white-tip tail fox cruise thru their treed lot…I was so excited about seeing it I couldn’t get my camera quick enough!)

Cell phone reception was sketchy for much of the day which is hard for a Realtor (haha!) but how magnificent the scenery – a great trade off & SO worth the solitude!! As I went through Wolf Creek Pass each turn was another GOD-made canvas for my eyes…the green meadows, the tall trees, the water gushing down the San Juan river and the snow melt water on the boulders…vista views and upclose pleasure. Joy!

Pagosa Springs, CO

Oh, how refreshing….the time with old friends, blowing my nose, enjoying their beautiful weather, blowing my nose, sitting on their front porch & back porch in the woods, blowing my nose….

I somehow got a cold and Jerri & Ron have nursemaided me – what a waste of time, but what a blessing to be so comfortable with old friends that they don’t care that I’ve used up their entire back stock of tissues! I’m not quite as funny with my brain fuzzy!

We took a leisurely drive around the Pagosa valley today – oh it is gorgeous! The snow capped mountains, the lakes, the trees & meadows; people were rafting in the river and the hot springs were beckoning! Really a wonderful place to live, to visit & enjoy! If I had felt better I would have shopped! HOWEVER, look at that other pic of the flags; they are at a cross walk with a similar flag holder on the other side of the street. The idea is that people could take a flag across the street with them as they are in the crosswalk so cars would see and stop! I was thinking there could be a few places in Verrado that could use that!!!

On the road toward Kansas tomorrow….xok

Colorful & Cool COLORADO!

HRH and I left Verrado a little later than I planned…clean sheets, empty d/w, make house nice for showings, turn up AC….so many little things. One of us is gobbling Airborne to rid ourself of sore throat. We don’t feel bad, but tricky to speak. Maybe we shouldn’t be singing on the road! Tomorrow will be a FUN drive to see our dear friends Jerri & Ron in Pagosa Springs…can hardly wait.

(Yay for Janet & Ted…their offer accepted today! Now list & sell their house! Yay for Bob & Susan finding something in Victory…fingers crossed! Biz happens when I leave town! We are amused!)

Sarah – I love having HRH on my dashboard….cracks me up! I am thinking she’s kind of a cross between The Queen & Mrs Doubtfile in some of these pics! Thank you!

The Queen & I @ The Spa in Victory

I carved out a little time to get a much needed and wonderfully relaxing mani-pedi yesterday with Bianca and brought along HRH. She always wears gloves….hmmmm…

Thank you, Sarah, for this solar waving chica – she is simply smashing and a little easier to carry around! I’m going to use a little double stick tape and put her on the dashboard so she can have a better view of the highway as we head off tomorrow. It would be nice if she could help me with laundry today as I start one more busy RE day…..but I suspect that’s not in her wheelhouse….

Packing up…getting ready to roll…

I’ve had an ever-increasing pile of things to bring on the trip. It started as a little this for Layla, then this for Lincoln, oh and a something for Hudson and then a water toy for Harley and then another something for Lincoln…. but now, the packing! It’s funny how it seemed like just a few little things as I tho’t of them individually but they are exploding in size … good thing I decided not to fly!

I am going to officially list my townhouse for sale in September when I return from Ohio, but did put ‘coming soon’ & ‘owner/agent’ riders on there – which the dishy Queen & I had to pick up today. It’s 100+ degrees…

(I’m going to be inserting some of the Brit slang lingo in these posts…did you get it in this one?)
